While going to company by bus everyday, I never stop thinking about buy a bike. The reason is very simple: because the traffic is always busy especially in the time most people go to work, the time needed by bus is difficult to estimate accurately. Instead, if I have a bike, because of its agility, traffic jam nearly do nothing with it.

At first I just want to buy a cheap bike (new one is very easy to be stolen), maybe secondhand. Then I found a forum where people talks about the bike (include road bike and collapse bike) all the day. Soon I falled into it and persuaded myself to give up the old idea.

After comparing for a while, I decided to buy a cheapest propaedeutic collapse bike at the cost of 430rmb. In the forum it’s seldom discussed because it’s too simple. But now I just need a convennient vehicle and if after some time I really find myself interest in it, I will give the old one to friends and buy new one. Some guys made the bet that I will finish this change within one month:)

In the daytime of tomorrow, I will receive my first collapse bike. Maybe I will take some photos.

Sorry for the late blog today. In the past three hours I was upgrading the new firmware of my Treo650. Maybe you will wonder why it took so long because we can even install WindowsXP and all common softwares in an hour.

Hmm, I was not doing the regular firmware update but making a custom ROM by myself. It means erasing something useless in the official ROM and making use of these free space by adding own favorite applications into it. This action is somewhat dangerous and it not supported by Palm, which means if there’s some error during the custom ROM you may change the Treo650 into garbage!

Fortunately I succeeded after long time waiting. The result is so exciting. It solved nearly all the problems we complained about the Treo650 like memory shortage and earphone volumn and so on. Before upgrading I moved many applications to the card because the RAM is so small, I even can’t fill the rest of my Treo650’s RAM now.

Is there anything can still be better? Is there a plan for Treo680 or Treo700? Noboday knows. I only can’t be more satisfied now:)

Hot weather, busy work, they are the most important elements of today.

The forecast said the highest temprature would be 38 centigrade degree which is already an terrible number. (You know that dozens of people died from hot weather in England last year where it’s only about 30 centigrade degree!) When I walked in the street, hot wave attacked at me and I think anyone would faint if he stand in the sun for several minutes.

Because of the hot weather, the electric load in Hangzhou got much more heavy. We even met more than 5 times power cut within an hour. I worried about the server because if the power cut occur when someone is writing into the datebase, it’s very dangrous and the whole datebase would be crash. So next week we will buy a UPS(Uninterrupted Power Supply) to prevent this.

That’s not all. After work I still have one hour’s exercises of badminton, which made me lose weight for one pound at least:)
