What is belief?
I have a very good friend who is a Christian. Today I had a long online chat with her by MSN and know something more than before.
I met her several years ago for the purchase of a laptop. At that time her knew nearly nothing about Christianism (maybe less than me because I had some study of this in university). When we talked about this, it was more like as a joke. Then she graduated and joined a large company in her hometown. Maybe by books, maybe by people around, she started to believe in Christianism.
She said it totally changed her life and even gave new life to her. She said the life style after reborn is just she want. I remember when she just touched this she sometimes mentioned about it but never tried to let me believe. But now she announces, “you can debate with me, the God will let you know what the truth is, by my mouth”. Hmm, it sounds so great.
Of course I have not really debated with her. I do not believe in any religion and my aim is just to know more about Christianism. And I know it is nearly impossible to let a Christian give up his belief. The same difficult thing is to let a non-Christian suddenly have one faith.
She gave me one example to prove there is the God which I think is a coincidence. She said one thing or two we can take them for coincidence, but if our life is full of these we can not simply think so. I insist it is because we have much deeper memory with these coincidences while others have already been forgotten by us. You see, we can not persuade each other, and will not give up our belief (is there is any) certainly.
What is belief? The God said all the people have sin and those who don’t believe in him will be punished after die. Who knows?

Vista looks so beautiful
Hmm, maybe you will be very unfamiliar with Vista. In fact when I see this for the first time, I just wonder what it is; even I can not make sure that it is software.
OK. Let change to its former name: Longhorn. Yeah, you get it. It is the next generation of the Windows family in our PC. Microsoft told us that Longhorn will be a great new one when comparing it to the old Windows version. This lets me remember the feeling of upgrading win98 to win2000 — great change!
Longhorn, now called Vista, does not change just its name. Microsoft is a great software company for sure (maybe IBM’s software department is larger, while it’s much more far away from us), but it still can not reach the aim which Bill Gates said several years ago for the forecast of Longhorn. For example Microsoft planned to use a new file system called WinFS. The core of WinFS is to use database technique to save files. It could make the visiting and searching of files more quickly. But before the alpha test of Vista, Microsoft finally announced to give up the WinFS in this version. Maybe later, maybe never, who knows.
Today Microsoft starts the public beta test. Thanks internet and BT, within 12 hours we got the copy of this beta version. The requirements is not very high (of course my old laptop can not run it smoothly, I even have no plan to install Vista on it) for the PCs sold today.
Someone has successfully installed it and made some screen capture pictures. No other words but beautiful can describe it. Many people said it looks like KDE of Linux, while others think it is another copy ware of Mac. Who cares that? Common users just see it is the most beautiful system they have even seen.

Reinstall Windows XP in my laptop
The previous version of Windows XP in my laptop (Compaq Evo N410c) has been stable for a long time. I can’t remember the exact number but it should be more than 200 days. I have installed many softwares in it and started so many services when system boots. Some devices’ drivers also take many system resources in which a fingerprint recognizer and the usb bluetooth is the worst. By the “HELP” of them, the XP uses over 250M ram after it boots:(
One day I updated the antivirus software to the new version (Kaspersky personal version to Kaspersky personal pro version), then found the access (component of Microsoft Office) acts strangely: I can’t make the form by wizard. It makes me worrying…
So I reinstall the OS and all the large softwares (many small ones like QQ/FlashFXP/XDict can be made to green version which need not reinstall and can be use directly). Although I am a specialized worker of this it still took me about one day.
Now every thing is ok: clean system, high speed, good mood:)
